Air Hostess Australia
Well for starters learn how to spell before you even consider this job, as it requires immaculate grooming and to keep your passengers safe with knowledge and a high degree of intelligence. It’s Few, not fiew, and Plane not plain. In Australia, it is very easy to get enrolled to be a student of Air line academy but hard to find out the job. You can choose some institutes those are directly attached with the Australian Airlines companies and foreign too. Those institutes’ help you to make your dream fulfill.
It’s not longer called air hostess – “Flight Attendant”.
You get average pay. Figures of $43K (80hours a month), up to $58K (120 hours per month) per year on Emirates.
Holidays aren’t very much in the beginning as you are on a less seniority (some airlines), however this can result in extended periods of time in which you are not working.
It is good, but not as glamorous as one thinks it is. Most people who are not ready for the drastic life changes that being a Flight Attendant requires do not cope, as they are only doing it for the travel, and not for providing the service of the saftey of the passengers on board. You actually dont get to see a lot when you are abroad because your there for such a short amount of time.
If you work for companies like Jetstar, I’ve heard stories of FA are doing 16hour shifts –Example: Flying to Bangkok and back before getting a rest. Other airlines do have rest periods, most commonly overnight, or 1 day later return.
Currently, you will have a very tough time finding a job, due to the competition – airlines are hiring but it very difficult to make you selected.
